Strange happenings......
So last week my best friend BJ, was approached by a psychic at work. She told her some pretty cool stuff, which in turn Beej shared with me. She offered her a free reading and gave her a business card. We talked about it and stuff, but we didn't quite decide on whether or not she should go or not. I have some other friend who have used psychics and loved the experiences, which I think is cool. So anyway on Tuesday I was approached by a psychic as well and she asked me if I would be interested in a reading as well, handed me her card and told me to call her. Weird!!!! Don't you think? Beej and I have never in all our lives been approached by someone with psychic abilities. But we had been approached by some within days of each other. I teased her and said maybe its because we're secret soul sisters and its our link to each other. I'm not quite sure what BJ will do with her card, I don't think I'll use mine. I don't have any questions for her and I'm not sure I want to know what the future holds for me if its not good. In the meantime, I'll just be living, loving, and cherishing my life to its fullest!!!

Enough for now!!!
Okay this is the last post for today. I joined the Hyatt competion for a weight loss contest. I figured what do I have to lose right?? just some weight and its only for 3 months!!. How bad can that be???? I'm on the team with 3 other girls that I work with at the pool and our teams name is the Power Fluff Girls. How funny is that??? So our weigh in was on June 1st and we took some before shots of us in sports bras and shorts. Let me tell you, my picture was not pretty. Yah Yah, I know I just had a baby, but that is no excuse for just letting myself go all these years. By the way I will not be posting that picture, Gross!!!!! One of my co-workers, Garry, offered to train us in our weight loss journey. So I took him up on his offer. I can't tell you how sore I am. He tells me to go at my own pace, but lying down and watching t.v. is not areobically effective according to him. So I'm jogging a bit, stretching, doing crunches and leg lifts for this week. Next week I'll do something else. Plus I've started a no carb diet. Yes, I know the Atkins diet is controversial, but I'm still producing milk for Megan, she's still gaining weight and is a perfectly healthy baby. It is the easiest diet for me to follow. My diet consists mainly of salads anyway. Ickkkk!!!! I hate veggies but I'll eat them.
You may ask what ever happened to the P90X program, well surprise surprise, according to its guidebook I'm too out of shape to do the program. Boooooooooo!!!!!! I have to get into a relatively active, less heavy, more fit body or I'll hurt myself. Sad.... isn't it??? So hopefully I'll be able to do the program in 6 months. But on a bright note. I've lost 5 pounds already. Yay!!Me!!

I think I type too fast!!!
Sorry everyone, I just realized all the grammar and misspellings in my postings lately. You'll have to mind the crazy ramblings of me. I'm a maniac on the keyboard. I write, the way, I would when talking to someone and yes, I'll even trip up on my words!!! Heehee!!:) But you all knew that anyway..........
The rolling baby
I meant to post this earlier, but I've been so busy with the kids and work that sometimes I'm left exhausted, so computer time comes last. Oh wait, enough, of the "poor me, pity party!!" This is supposed to be about Megan.
Megan for over a week has been turning over. :) It was so funny, last week I left her sleeping in the middle of my bed and went to get a drink of water and I found her on her tummy, talking to my pillow. I just cracked up!! She is too funny. I can't believe at 3 1/2 months she's doing this. She just seems so much more older than she really is. Now I realized that she really was doing summersaults inside of me. So now we can't leave her sleeping on the couch anymore. :( She demonstrated her trick for Heidi and Aris on Friday when they came down to Lahaina.
I think I'm going to buy a floor futon, because the living room is so much cooler than the other rooms. But everytime I put her on her back when she's awake, she just rolls over to her stomach, then uses her legs to do a 360 on the floor!! Maybe, she'll be a break dancing baby!!

Hip Hop with Mr. Roki
Saturday, Mia started her summer session at MAPA with hip hop classes, unfortunately the classes start so late on Saturdays that Gev and I cannot bring her there. Thanks Mom for always being ready to help out!
Heehee!! Oh yeah, her teacher's name is Mr. Hiroki Ichinose (but she can only say Roki!!), one of MAPA's advanced students, he is an amazing dancer!!! The summer sessions are taught by the advanced students, therefore at a much more discounted price.
Anyway, my mom took her to her first class. She took some pictures and videos that I have to down load off her camera, but it was too cute!! She learned how to do a wave and some other really fun moves!!! Totally cute!!! Mia is always happy to give me or Gev a demonstration. She is the youngest in her class due to the fact that she is only 4 and should actually be 5, but since she's already a current student there, she was accepted. I'll try to get some pictures posted of her in the class soon. But in the meantime she's having a blast!!!

Shawn's last day of school
Monday the 8th was Shawn's last day of school. His elementary school career was full of ups and downs and I have to say for what its worth, it was a great journey. Princess Nahienaena school for us has done a wonderful job.
This year he seemed to make leaps and bounds, now I know there are some people that think Hawaii's school system lacks in many ways, but I do think with what the teachers are given to work with, they certainly do an amazing job and they do put their heart and soul into making sure they are doing all they can and more. Plus, I do think that when parents are involved in their children's education and interests it makes more well rounded and successful children which is what Gevin and I strive to do everyday. Mahalo to all his teacher's (Mrs. Matsui (1st grade) Mrs. Lambert (1st and 2nd SPED), Ms Caterina (2nd grade), Ms Perko (3rd grade), Mrs. Sadang (3rd SPED), Mr. Rogers (4th grade), Ms. Perko, again (4th SPED), Ms. Nelson (5th grade) and finally Mr. Bratcher (5th SPED), for all you hard work and extra time and effort with Shawn and our family over the years!!! Mr. Bratcher, we will miss you the most!!! You have done an amazing job with him this year. We discovered a much happier and confident Shawn. I wish he could have been with you for more time. You are a truly unique and one of a kind teacher!!
We will miss everyone at the school and look forward to Shawn going to Lahaina Intermediate to begin 6th grade. Wow!!! How time flies!! We are so proud of you Shawn for all you hard work and determination!!!

Our turn!!!
So last night Gev and I decided to take Jojo and Tyrene to Cirque Polynesia with us to thank them for all their help with the kids, while Mama Linda was in the Philippines . We are so happy she' home. We needed an adults night out, and lately we haven't been able to see each other very much because of our work schedules and now we have separate days off.
Thank-you to our friend Norman who called us at 6:00 to tell us the show started at 7:00pm not 7:30 like we originally thought. We rushed over to the Hyatt for the show. We sat in the back on a recommendation to us, so that we could see everything. OMG, let me tell you the show was amazing!!!! We don't get cool stuff all that often in Hawaii, but when we do, we all go to see it. These performers are amazing, I still don't know how they do it. But the music was great, there's a live drummer and a girl who plays the guitar and a violin type instrument. Insane!!! Gev liked the performer who balanced on a board, I could barely watch, I was so nervous for him. I enjoyed the magician who changed her clothes like 5 or 6 times in under 3 minutes. Yes, just like Mia. We had such a good time, I hope Jo and Ty did too. I really hope the show does well, its amazing they make it all seem so effortless. I just asked Gev and Jo not to rig anything up for the kids to try. Knowing them they would. But if anyone who reads my blog and is in Maui, please go see the show!!! You will also be amazed!!!

And the winner is.......
The Hyatt has picked up Cirque Polynesia for the summer. Its like Cirque du Soleil, but with a Polynesian theme. On Monday, they had a free show for the employees and their families. Unfortunately Gev and I had to work, so my mom took the kids, except Megan cause she's too little. Mom asked me to pack Mia's butterfly costume because she wanted to dress up Mia like the cast (All viewers were encouraged to come dressed) she bought her a butterfly mask to go with her costume. They had a great time. There was free face painting, pictures with the cast, popcorn, shave ice, cotton candy, light toys for the kids. They were so excited. I don't know how my mom did it but she managed to get seats in the front row. Aulani was super excited and Mia was crying. My mom had to tell her that the front was the best and that all the people were nice. Heehee!! Anyway the show started and someone came on stage to announce the winner of the costume contest, all of a sudden the spotlight went directly to Mia. Whoa!!! She won 2 round trip tickets to Honolulu and a 2 night stay at Waikiki!!! You go girl!!! Anyway the president or vice president from Go! airlines, I'm not sure which one, came up to my mom and said that he put his card in the envelope with the prize and to contact him. He said he would give her 3 more round trip tickets for the rest of the kids. Awesome!! Anyway the rest of the prize was VIP seating which was couch seating in the front row in the middle of it all. The got drinks and were able to see everything. All in all the kids had a wonderful time. Aulani like the contortionist, Mia love the woman who magically changed her clothes and Shawn loved the guys on the swing doing tricks into a net. Mahalo Cirque Polynesia for a wonderful show!!!
