This year Obon for the jodo mission fell on a Friday. It was so beautiful. We watched the taiko drummers, let the kids plays some games and danced a few songs. I love going as a child and truly enjoy sharing a part of my heritage with them and I go to dance in honor of my grandmother. I had also come across a several letters written to me from her growing up and when I had Shawn and was living in Honolulu that day. It was a wonderful trip down memory lane for me. Everyday I think of her, she will always be in my heart. We love you so much grandma!! I miss you!!

The graduate

June 30th was graduation day for Mia. Gev and I couldn't be more proud of her. We cried, cheered and laughed. It seems like only yesterday we had her and moved back to Maui. The school put on a wonderful ceremony and we had a potluck at the school afterwards. Gev and I decided to have a family party of our own at his parents house. Just the family and our friends. Mahalo to all who were able to join us on this momentous occasion for Mia.

What do you want us to do???

This is the second year they have brought Sesame St. to Maui, We had such a good time. I got me and the girls seats in the 4th row center with aisle seating. If Elmo could sweat, it would have hit us. Heehee!! Unfortunately the girls were a little scared when the characters came down the aisle. But over all, we danced, sang and had a wonderful time!!

As Mia's school year came to a close I decided to chaperon one last field trip. It was to the Maui Ocean center. We had a blast. I only had 3 girls in my group. Mia and her 2 best friends in school Malika and Katie. They were such a wonderful group to be with. Each teacher stayed with their class. I love the ocean center, I think its a wonderful addition to what Maui has to offer. We were able to see coral releasing sperm in the water to reproduce with whatever its supposed to meet up with. This happens once a year and our group was lucky enough to watch this. I don't know how I feel about swimming in the water with all that sperm floating around. Gross!!! Hahaha!!

Megan's 1st trip to the beach

The beauty shot!!
Wait, I'm not ready cause your making me laugh!!!

Hot Stuff!! Right daddy??

I'm done now, daddy!!
Last month Gev's family decided to go camping in the Olowalu area. They had a blast. Shawn went to Oahu unfortunately and missed out that weekend, but Mia and Gev went and spent the night there. Since then Mia is itching to go camping again because she wants to use her princess tent. Meg and I stayed home as camping is just not for us right now. But here are some pics of her 1st trip to the beach. Notice the super sexy bikini daddy put her in :)

Happy belated 4 month birthday Megan

What is this thing you put me in???
I'm supposed to do what???

Hmmm, I think I'll just hang for a minute!!

Holy cow!!! As I write this it only makes me realize I'll be posting another one shortly for her 5 month. Well life has brought us some unexpected changes this 4th month. I can't begin to tell you how much she has changed. From the sweet baby who just chilled and hung out. The 4th month brought a new personality. We call her the screamer!!! OMG!! I just die laughing when I think of her. She doesn't coo anymore, she yells at people and she growls too. Soooo funny. She is very crazy and full of energy. She is so strong and pushes up on her forearms, looks around and yells at everyone. We bought her a baby jumper for her birthday this month cause she's so active. She loves it. She eats the animals, watches the lights and screams in delight while jumping. Unfortunately with this month came the end of an era as she wakes up 3-4 times a night, I am so tired. Sleep deprivation is definitely setting in as I am very grouchy these days. But we're transitioning into solid foods, formula and yes, I am still nursing her at night which is why she wakes up so much. I am thinking of weaning her as its getting to be a bit much, but she loves it so much I don't have the heart.

Soooooo Happy 4th month birthday baby Megan!! We love you!!
